Historique :
Fondée au milieu du 19e siècle par la famille Allenbach, cette usine de bonneterie, à l'origine hydraulique, fut précocement équipée d'une chaudière à vapeur dont la cheminée est de forme pyramidale. Souvent adoptée à la suite de la législation de 1820 sur les appareils à vapeur, cette forme imite le modèle adopté en Angleterre au 18e siècle. Cette cheminée en brique et à base de grès, haute d'environ 16, 50 mètres est accolée à l'atelier de fabrication principal. La manufacture comprend trois corps de bâtiments sur cour, avec un logement patronal. La fabrication a cessé en 1920.Classement monument historique :
